I have mixed feelings about Stephen Moffat leaving Doctor Who. On the one hand, there were some dodgy ideas and subpar seasons. On the other, he did bring us some excellent seasons and classic episodes. He did bring Neil Gaiman on board. He did write "Day Of The Doctor". And he did cast Matt Smith, and then Peter Capaldi. All told, I think he did a decent job.
But no more episodes, no more Twelve, until Christmas? THAT'S the part that annoys me.
And something else that annoys me is that it wasn't until two days ago that I knew this existed: A fan film adaptation of Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld short story "Troll Bridge", done with Sir Terry's blessing. I am happy that I found out about it, and I was happy to help back it in a small way. Here's a look at what they've done so far; head to the official web site to see more.
