Willow Wednesdays: We're Back!

Welcome to Willow Wednesdays! Featuring art by Willow, the cover artist for the Monkey Queen series, with her kind permission! Read on after the cut for more!

So it's been a while, both for this feature and the blog in general. Oops. I'll get the Sunday catchup rolling again this weekend.

Willow Wednesdays ended up on hiatus in part because of life getting in the way on this end and in part because Willow took an extended break from drawing, so there wasn't anything new to share. She had a great reason, though: She passed her thesis review, and she is now a Ph.D! We can now call her "Doctor Willow"! Complete with a Pokeball-shaped TARDIS and Pikachu as a companion!

She had expected to return to drawing while job-hunting, but more good news got in the way - she found a job as a teacher and researcher at an engineering school! Hmmm...maybe she's Professor Willow instead.

In any case, her wrist has healed, and she's resolved to return to drawing in 2017. Her next project is her long-awaited Yokai art book, which she hopes to have ready for the Japan Expo this summer, And this just showed up on her Facebook page:

Welcome back, Willow.
