Willow Wednesdays: Teenage Mystic Reading Kappa

Welcome to Willow Wednesdays! Featuring art by Willow, the cover artist for the Monkey Queen series, with her kind permission! Read on after the cut for more!

you're blogging yourself but you're too unfair

Sunday catching up! One more reminder: If you somehow missed it, you can read "Book Fair Frenzy (Or, Macalley Turns The Page)", the debut novelette for my new series Peavley Manor, here! If you like it, don't forget that you can buy your own nicely-formatted ebook copy at Amazon.

And this is definitely not the last you'll be seeing of Alice and Macalley...work is in progress on their second story! Stay tuned for more!

After the cut...lots! (Warning: There may be spoilers.)

The Sound Abounds: The PDX Broadsides!

Welcome to The Sound Abounds, where I talk about the weird, wonderful world of nerd music! These posts will feature and discuss musical acts that have performed songs that touch on (or squeefully embrace) some aspect of geek culture.

In this installment, after the cut: The PDX Broadsides!

So inviting, so enticing to blog the part

Sunday catchup, and we're starting with this reminder: If you missed it, Book Fair Frenzy (Or, Macalley Turns The Page) is out! You can get a nicely formatted copy at Amazon for 99 cents...or click here to read it on this blog! Either way is fine with me; just let me know what you think, and spread the word.

After the cut...well, best put the kettle on first.

Book Fair Frenzy (Or, Macalley Turns The Page): A Tale Of Peavley Manor

It's here at last! Meet the irrepressible Alice Peavely, the imperturbable Macalley, and Alice's friends and rivals in their debut novelette, Book Fair Frenzy (Or, Macalley Turns The Page)!

I'm going to do something a bit different here...

You can click "Continue Reading" and read this for free, after the cut...

Or you can help support my work and spread the word by buying a nicely formatted and ready for your tablet or phone copy on Amazon! Click here for the US link, or search your local Amazon store.

Do whichever you like, and do it without guilt. I'm fine either way. (And doing both wouldn't hurt!) But please, please, spread the word. Review, retweet, share the Facebook post, blog, mention it to friends over a hot cup of tea, whatever works for you.

And enjoy! I had a lot of fun writing this, and I hope you have as much fun reading it.

Book Fair Frenzy: Cover reveal and blurb!

The story I've been mentioning for the last two weeks is done, except for the formatting. It may not be ready for a few more days...but I think at this point, I can tell you what's going on. This is a novelette, which I think is a fancy term for "longish short story". It's the debut of a new series - Peavley Manor - with a new cast of characters and a new setting. (And unlike the Skyblade Saga, this has no connection with the Monkey Queen series.) It's technically not the first story chronologically, just a taster for what's to come.

Here's a peek at..."Book Fair Frenzy (Or, Macalley Turns The Page)"!

All I have is my blog of love, and love is not blogging

Hello, Sunday! As you may have noticed, the story I've been promising for the last few weeks is still not ready. I'm trying things in the presentation I haven't tried before, and getting those ready is taking longer than I thought. But, if you check back later this week...patience can be rewarded

After the cut...one of those "try something different" Sundays.
